Job Overview:

TrialPay is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Data Team.
The ideal candidate will be experienced building data warehouse
solutions using MySQL, and is familiar with technologies like Hadoop and
MapReduce. Be a part of our world-class engineering team, which is
designing and building core components of TrialPay's already successful
e-commerce platform, as well creating new, "disruptive" products
involving our e-commerce platform, payment widgets, transactional
advertising, and/or API's for TrialPay's 1000's of blue chip merchants.

Responsibilities:

• Develop reusable tools for the management and manipulation of terabytes of data
• Develop, build and maintain highly optimized global reporting systems to support strategic decisions in TrialPay's core business
• Work closely with product management and other business units to construct solutions for their analysis tasks
• Resolve user-identified functional and technical issues relating to data and reporting services
• Utilize various reporting tools to deliver insights to targeted audiences

Requirements:

• Deep understanding of SQL with the ability to analyze, debug and tune queries
• Expert understanding of database performance characteristics, high volume data handling processes and techniques
• Extensive experience working with large data stores.
• Experience developing with Python, Ruby, or PHP.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Unix/Linux environments.

Pluses:

• High volume Web traffic/transactional experience
• Experience managing terabytes of data
• E-commerce industry experience
• Strong background in math, statistics, and/or computer science
• Any technically relevant personal projects
• Computer Science bachelor's degree
• Advanced technical degree
